Prentice Portadown are recruiting for the following position:

Job Title: Alloy Wheel Technician

Job Type: Permanent Full Time

Reporting to: Mini Service Manager

Salary: Negotiable (based upon experience)

Job Purpose:

As a Prentice Alloy Wheel Technician, it will be your responsibility to carry out repairs and paintwork to alloy wheels, repair and refinish work efficiently and competently and complete all orders to Prentice Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Carrying out alloy wheel repairs.

· Preparing alloy wheels for paintwork.

· Removing and refitting tyres.

· Balancing wheels after they have been repaired.

· Mixing paint to apply to wheels.

· Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard.

· Perform all work duties in a competent fashion and within the acceptable timescales.

· Advise appropriate colleagues of any additional work necessary on a vehicle during the working of that order.

· Up-sell tyre sales opportunities to the Tyre Centre when necessary.

· Ensure parts of Warranty Claims are retained and cleaned where necessary.

· Ensure exchange parts are returned to the Parts Department when required.

· Ensure that all vehicles worked on are carefully handled and that all reasonable care is taken for that vehicle whilst on Company premises.

· Maintain and develop individual skill level in all aspects of alloy wheel refurbishment and repair.

· Attend both internal and external training courses as directed by management.

· Comply with all health & safety policies and procedures.

· Work effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect & dignity.

Essential Requirements:

· A full UK driving license.

· Previous experience working within the automotive trade, ideally from an accident repair centre or dealership background and have experience in paint spraying or alloy wheel refurbishment.

· The ability to multi-task.

· A willingness to work on your own initiative.

· Ability to communicate with customers face to face and over the telephone.

· Physically fit to perform the requirements for the role.

Job Purpose:

As a Prentice Transaction Manager it will be your responsibility to partner with the Sales Manager and wider Sales Executive Team to achieve targeted results and deliver an exceptional customer service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Inspire, support and manage the daily performance of a Sales Executive Team

· Regularly monitor the performance of Sales Executives and the wider Sales Team and ensure sales targets are on track, achieved/exceeded within agreed time frames.

· Provide regular feedback on individual sales performance to your Sales Executive Team.

· Provide regular performance updates to the Head of Sales and other key stakeholders.

· Analyse all statistical information available to further enhance team sales and motivate the Sales Executive Team to achieve/exceed agreed KPIs.

· Deliver regular one to one coaching and mentoring to the Sales Executive Team to continually improve the overall performance of the Sales Team and individual Sales Executives.

· Ensure the Sales Team observes ‘Best Practice’ always and utilises all available sales opportunities and techniques to maximise sales revenue.

· Ensure that the ‘Second Facing’ of customers takes place and is conducted in a professional manner at all times.

· Oversee and ensure that compliance regulations are adhered to at all times.

· Comply with all health & safety policies & procedures.

· Work effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect & dignity.

Essential Requirements:

· Current or previous experience in a similar role and/or previous experience as a Sales Controller or Senior Sales Executive but not necessarily within the automotive industry.

· A proven track record of coaching,mentoring and inspiring individuals to deliver on targets set.

· The ability to analysis statistical information to enhance team performance and achieve agreed sales targets.

· A dynamic personality with a ‘can do’attitude and a passionate understanding of the Art of prospect selling.

· Previous experience in promoting sales and managing sales teams with the added success of exceeding sales targets and demonstrating success through effective team management.

· Previous experience managing individual sales performance and maximising sales potential.

· The ability to build professional relationship with colleagues, customers and external clients.

· The ability to embrace change and be positively receptive to new ideas and working practices.
